Franco-Americans came to Lowell
armed with a deep sense of religious fervor. Consequently, after the establishment of
Saint-Joseph's church and Saint-Jean-Baptiste parish, there was a need to establish more
churches and parishes. Although the majority of these were Roman Catholic, there were also
some Protestant churches. More information will follow on all of these listed below at a
